** Puttur: Two rural lasses qualify to serve nation through BSF

Two ladies from Dakshina Kannada district have been chosen to serve the Border Security Force (BSF) that keeps vigil on the country’s borders. They will report to their BSF bosses and begin to serve the force on April 1.

The girls who have cleared the rigorous process of selection of the BSF are Ramya from Balnadu and Yogitha from Kanoyoor in Kadaba taluk. Ramya happens to be the daughter of Padmayya Gowda and Tejavathi couple from Balnadu.
