The Kempegowda International Airport has been judged the Best Airport by Size and Region in the category of 25-40 million passengers per annum at the Airports Council International’s Airport Service Quality (ACI-ASQ) Awards 2020.

** St. John’s develops new test to measure Vit B12 absorption

A team of researchers from St. John’s Research Institute (SJRI) has developed a new test to measure vitamin B12 absorption in humans with stable 13C isotopes. Earlier, this was possible only using the radio-isotopes-based Schilling test.

This major clinical development has been published in American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

** S.R. Vignaraj among Tulu sahitya academy honorary award winners

Researcher S.R. Vignaraj of Dharmasthala is among nine persons chosen by the Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy for its honorary award.

Kelepu Perade Kelepu, a collection of poems by scholar and former Vice-Chancellor of Karnataka Folklore University K. Chinnappa Gowda and released last year, is among the four books selected by the academy for its book award.

Some months ago, when Radha Pennathur was looking up how to draw something, she came across an interesting fact: State symbols.

“It led me down a rabbit hole of sorts and I got to know that each state and union territory in India has some state symbols: Fruits, flowers, trees, birds, animals,” says the 23-year-old, who is now capturing the same through a series of artworks she is doing for Wildlife Conservation Society.
