** Mechanic Khaleel’s Way Of Aatmanirbhar Bharat: German Car’s Switch Unit Runs With Mixer’s Speed Knob!

Deft hands

I got worried and decided to have a second opinion. One of my friends advised me to go to a local mechanic, Khaleel, who was an expert in his own way in repairing high-end cars. I thought of giving it a try and went to his garage which was next to a Gujari (dump yard). I was amazed to see several high-end imported cars parked there for different levels of repairs.

Complex problem, simple solution

I went back to the garage, posing with a fictional courage. Cool as a cucumber, Khaleel said the snag is rectified and demonstrated that it worked properly.

Three months ago, Drithi took to the skies, gliding over the serene waters of the Shambhavi, in Hejamady village in coastal Karnataka.

Sleek and shiny, the lean, mean, human-made machine was Pushparaj Ameen’s decade-old dream come to life.

Pushparaj developed Drithi, a lightweight five-metre-long micro seaplane, with seven other aeromodelling enthusiasts. All the work was pretty much done in his backyard.

** This doctor dissects history, proud about Ganga dynasty

Highly-qualified is an inadequate description of Dr B N Raveesh, professor and head of department of Psychiatry, Mysore Medical College and Research Institute (MMC and RI), in Mysuru. His first book should have been ideally on medicine or psychiatry, but ‘Ganga Samrata Sripurusha’, related to history, was released recently. It tries to trace and revive his ethnicity and the pride of Gangas, especially Sripurusha, whose memorial  was traced and restored last year.
