Bengaluru-based ad director’s debut sci-fi feature film will have its world premiere at two international film festivals in the US .

He’s a film director whose used to working with a structure, timetable and making videos that are a maximum of two minutes long. So this time Rajaram Rajendran, founder of production company Eleven Elements, wanted to explore different aspects of filmmaking and decided to make an indie sci-fi film in English and Hindi.

Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has chosen the vegan foods’ logo designed by a Bengaluru-based college girl. The logo, a simple ‘V’ with a small plant on top of it has been recognised, approved and will be the face of all vegan foods.

It took only 20 minutes for Kruti Manish Rathore (22), an MSc, second year, Food Science and Nutrition student of Mount Carmel College,  to come up with the idea.  FSSAI released the logo for all vegan foods on September 21 and stated: “The new logo is green in colour, as a V inscribed in the middle with a small plant on top of it.”  

** Anne Lee Seshadri sheds light on scouting of historic monuments by US Consulate officials for restoration

 Several historic monuments in South India including Gol Gumbaz and Taj Bawdi of Vijayapura are being scouted by officials of the US Consulate in Chennai to carry out restoration works, if needed, with the help of `Ambassador Funds.’

The authorities of the consulate are keen to restore many historic and heritage structures in Karnataka that needed attention by partnering with local organizations. Speaking exclusively with The New Indian Express, Anne Lee Seshadri, Public Affairs Officer, Office of Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs, American Consulate General, Chennai, sheds light on several initiatives being launched by her office for “cultural preservation.”
