** Belagavi firm to build 6,000 houses in Rwanda

The Department of MBA at KLS Gogte Institute of Technology organised an online international conference on Indo African Businesses-Strategic Perspective in Belagavi recently.

Belagavi-based developer and CREDAI office-bearer Chaitanya Kulkarni said that CGK Constructions and Real Estate Private Limited, Belagavi, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Rwanda Housing Authority to build 6,000 houses with an investment of about ₹1,500 crore at Kigali, Rwanda (East Africa).

** Subbayya Neela’s work selected for international painting exhibition

A painting on the Dasoha Mahasutra by renowned artist Subbayya Neela, who is also the chairperson of the Faculty of Fine Arts in the Sharnbasva University, has won international acclaim and selected to be exhibited among the paintings of renowned artists from different countries in an online 25th Mosaic Padam Chand Memorial Global Online Painting Competition 2021 organised by New Delhi-based Happy School.

Dr. Neela, who has created several paintings on the Dasoha Mahasutra penned by the eighth Mahadasoha Peetadhipathi of the Sharnabasaweshwar Samasthan Dr. Sharnabaswappa Appa, said that his acrylic painting on a canvas on one of the Dasoha Mahasutra, Guruvinge Sharanu Sharanarthi Lingakke Sharanu Sharanarthi, has been selected for the display at the international painting competition now.

Nosthush Kenjige stands out as an excellent example to prove that people who are determined to achieve something in life cannot be stopped from getting what they want. Nosthush who adores cricket did not get disappointed when he did not get enough chances here. He went to the USA and has developed his skill so much that he now has grown to the extent of representing that country.

Nosthush (31) is from Mudigere taluk. He has been playing international cricket matches as a member of the US team for the last four years. He has proved that if a person is talented, geographical or language limitations cannot restrict him.

He is an all-rounder who is skilled in batting as well as bowling. He is the son of Pradeep and Shriti Keerthi couple from Kenjige village, Mudigere taluk in the district. He is a left hand spinner and right hand batsman.

Nosthush played for the USA in an international match for the first time in 2017. He has already played in 60 one day games and T20 matches. He is on a visit to his native place for rest but does not forget to regularly practice with friends.

** BEL to supply IoT devices to US firm

Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) and Hyperion Global Group, an infrastructure telecommunication distribution company, have entered into a contract to develop, manufacture and supply Internet of Things (IoT) devices for the US market.

As per the contract, BEL will manufacture and supply IoT devices worth US $73 million to Hyperion, based in the US, during the first year of commencement of supply, with a provision to negotiate and supply upgrades of the products, worth US $365 million, in the next five years, said a statement issued by BEL.

A doctor from a government medical college in the city has written an important chapter on ‘Imaging of Spleen’ in ‘Comprehensive Textbook of Clinical Radiology’, a first-of-its-kind reference book in the country, brought out by the National Indian Radiological and Imaging Association (IRIA).

Dr KR Vijaykumar, Professor and Head of the Department of Radiology, Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital, told The New Indian Express that it is a lifelong reference book for radiologists and was published recently by the prestigious Elsevier Publications in six volumes.
